Terms of Service

Last updated: October 18, 2026

Welcome to greetinghard.com (the “Site”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Site, which is operated by greetinghard.com (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

  1. Purpose of the Site
The Site provides a free, browser-based tool for designing emails, including custom text, starter templates, images, buttons and drawn signatures that you can copy and paste into other email services and applications (the “Email Builder”), along with a blog. The Site is maintained as a portfolio and demonstration project. All content, tools and features are provided for informational and demonstration purposes only, free of charge, and with no promise of ongoing availability or support.
  2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
  3. User Content
The Email Builder and other features may let you enter text, add images, draw signatures, add links, or submit other information (“User Content”). You are solely responsible for any User Content you create, copy, paste, send or share, and for how it is used, including every email you send using content created with the Site. You represent that you own or have permission to use all text, images, logos, trademarks and signatures you include. You agree not to create anything unlawful, offensive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, infringing, deceptive, or that impersonates another person, company or organization. We do not review, endorse or take responsibility for User Content, or for any email created with the Site. We may remove any User Content or restrict access at any time, for any reason, without notice.
  4. Emails and Generated Content
Emails are generated automatically from the information you provide and are processed in your own browser. We do not send, deliver, store or back up any email for you. We do not guarantee that any email will display, format or print correctly in any email service, application or device; that images (including embedded Base64 images) will be shown to recipients; that any link or button will work or remain safe; that any email will be delivered or avoid spam filters; or that your content will be preserved, as it is cleared when you close or refresh the page. You are responsible for reviewing and testing everything you create before sending or sharing it.
  5. Templates and No Professional Advice
Starter templates and sample text are generic examples provided as-is. They are not legal, employment, career, business or other professional advice, and we make no promise that they are suitable, accurate or effective for your situation. You are responsible for reviewing, editing and replacing all placeholder text before use.
  6. Drawn Signatures
The drawn signature feature only adds an image of your drawing to your email. It is not an electronic signature service, it does not verify identity, and we make no representation that it creates a legally binding or valid signature for any purpose. You may only draw and use your own signature or one you are authorized to use.
  7. Email Laws and Acceptable Use
You are solely responsible for complying with all laws that apply to the emails you send, including anti-spam, marketing, consumer protection and privacy laws (such as the CAN-SPAM Act, Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation, and UK/EU data protection laws), and with the terms of the email services you use. You agree not to: (a) use the Site for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to hack, disrupt, overload or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems; (c) use the Site to create or distribute spam, phishing material, scams, malicious links or harmful content; (d) create emails that imitate or impersonate any person, business, brand or organization; (e) use bots, scrapers or automated tools without permission; or (f) upload or embed malware or harmful code.
  8. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, all content on the Site, including code, designs, text, templates, icons and graphics, is owned by greetinghard.com or used with permission and is protected by intellectual property laws. You keep ownership of your own User Content, and we claim no rights to it. You may use the Email Builder, and the emails you create with it, including starter template text, for any lawful personal or business purpose. You may not copy, redistribute, resell or reuse the Site itself, its code or its design without written permission, except where content is explicitly published under an open license, in which case that license governs. Third-party names, logos and trademarks referenced on the Site belong to their respective owners, and their mention does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.
  9. Third-Party Services and Links
The Site uses third-party services (such as Google Analytics, font and icon providers, content delivery networks, and its website platform and hosting providers) and may link to external websites. Emails you create are intended to be used in third-party email services and applications, such as Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, Zendesk, HubSpot and others. We do not control and are not responsible for any third-party services, websites, applications, content, or their privacy or security practices. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
  10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, TOOLS, TEMPLATES, GENERATED EMAILS, FEATURES AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, COMPATIBILITY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE IS SECURE, FREE OF VIRUSES OR BUGS, OR THAT ANY EMAIL, IMAGE, LINK, TEMPLATE OR DATA WILL BE ACCURATE, AVAILABLE, DELIVERED, DISPLAYED CORRECTLY OR PRESERVED. YOU USE THE SITE ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
  11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL GREETINGHARD.COM OR ITS OPERATOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, CONTENT, PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, GOODWILL OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE, OR ANY EMAIL, TEMPLATE, SIGNATURE OR CONTENT CREATED, SENT, NOT SENT, NOT DELIVERED OR DISPLAYED INCORRECTLY USING IT, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ZERO U.S. DOLLARS ($0.00) OR, WHERE A ZERO CAP IS NOT PERMITTED, TEN U.S. DOLLARS ($10.00).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability limitations. In those jurisdictions, the above applies to the maximum extent permitted by law, and nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

  1. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless greetinghard.com and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site, your User Content, any email you create, send or share, any images, trademarks or signatures you include, your violation of any email, anti-spam or privacy law, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.
  2. Changes and Termination
We may modify, suspend or discontinue the Site or any part of it, including the Email Builder, at any time without notice or liability. We may update these Terms at any time; the “Last updated” date will reflect changes. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
  3. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which the operator of greetinghard.com resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the courts of that state, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
  4. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and greetinghard.com regarding the Site. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
