Free Email Signature Generator

A professional email signature tells people who you are and how to reach you. The Email Builder includes a signature section at the bottom of every email you create, so you can design a clean, branded email signature in a few minutes. It is free and no account is needed.

What to include in a professional email signature

  • Full name. Your name as you want people to address you.
  • Job title and company. For example, Owner, Example Company.
  • Contact details. A phone number, email or address, one per line.
  • Headshot or logo. Shown as a small round image next to your name.
  • Handwritten signature. Draw it with your mouse, trackpad or finger.
  • Your website. Add it as a link with your own link text, such as Visit our website, and choose whether it opens in a new tab.
  • Social media links. Add LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube and more as simple text links, in your own link color.

Email signature tips

  • Keep it short. Your name, title and one or two ways to reach you are usually enough.
  • Pick a few social links. Three to five links look tidy and professional.
  • Choose your background. Use Signature Background and Email Background to match your brand, or set both to white for a clean look.
  • Only need a signature? Choose Blank Email, leave the message empty and fill in Identity & Signature. Only your signature is copied.
  • Test it first. Send yourself a test email to see how your signature looks before you send it to others.

More Free Tools to Use With Your Emails

Email Builder FAQ

Is the Email Builder really free?

Yes. The Email Builder is free to use, with no account, no subscription and no watermark from us on your emails.

Do I need to create an account or download anything?

No. Open the Email Builder in your web browser and start right away. There is no sign-up, no login and nothing to install.

How do I use the email I made?

Click Copy Email, open a new message or reply in your email app, and paste. If your tool has an HTML or source-code editor, click Copy HTML Code and paste the code there instead. Every email app handles pasted emails a little differently, so send yourself a test email first.

What is the difference between Copy Email and Copy HTML Code?

Copy Email copies the finished, formatted email so you can paste it into a compose window. Copy HTML Code copies the full HTML code of the email, for tools where you paste code into an HTML or source-code editor.

Are my images uploaded to your server?

No. Images you add are converted to Base64 inside your browser and included in the email you copy. They are not uploaded to or stored on our server. When you paste and send the email, your email app handles it like any other email.

Why don't my images show up for some people?

Some email services block images that are built into an email this way. To make images more likely to appear, paste the web address of an image that is already online into the image URL field instead of uploading a file.

Is my email saved anywhere?

No. Nothing you type or create is saved. Refreshing or closing the page clears your work, so copy your email before you leave.

Can I see how my email looks on a phone?

Yes. Use the Mobile button above the live preview to see a narrower, phone-sized view of your email before you copy it.

Can I add my handwritten signature?

Yes. Draw your signature with a mouse, trackpad or finger in the signature box, and it is added to your email as an image along with your name, title, photo or logo, and contact details.

Can I add social media links to my signature?

Yes. In Identity & Signature, click Add Website or Social Link, choose the network and paste the link to your profile. They appear as text links at the bottom of your signature. You can choose the link color and whether links are underlined.

How do I add my website to my email signature?

In Identity & Signature, click Add Website or Social Link and choose Website. Type the link text people will see, such as Visit our website, paste your web address, and choose whether the link opens in a new tab. If you leave the link text empty, your web address is shown instead. Some email apps open links in a new tab whatever this setting is.

How do I create a professional email signature?

Open Identity & Signature and add your name, title and company, contact details, a headshot or logo, a drawn signature, your website and social media links. Everything you add appears at the bottom of your email in the live preview and is included when you copy the email.

Can I make an email that is only a signature?

Yes. Choose Blank Email, leave the banner headline, heading and message empty, then fill in Identity & Signature. Only your signature is included when you copy it.

Can I change the background colors?

Yes. Email Background changes the color around your email, and Signature Background changes the area behind your signature. Choose white for both if you do not want a gray background.

Can I make the banner image smaller?

Yes. After you add a banner image, use the Banner Image Size slider. 100% fills the full width of the email. Smaller sizes center the image, which works well for a logo.

Can I add links inside my message?

Yes. In Message Body, click in your message where the link should go, type the link text and address under Add a Link to Your Message, and click Insert Link. The link is added as [link text](https://example.com) and shows as clickable, underlined text in your email. You can choose the link color.

Can I add a list of items, like a shopping list or parts list?

Yes. Open List / Line Items, give your list a title and add items one at a time or paste several at once, one per line. Choose a bulleted list, numbered list, checklist or table, and show or hide quantity, details and price. When prices are shown, a total is added for you.

How do I see the part of the email I am editing?

On a wide screen the live preview stays in view and scrolls to the part of the email you are working on, and opening a step briefly outlines that part. You can turn this off with Follow my edits above the preview. On a phone, use the See Preview button to jump to the preview and back.

How do I make text bold?

Wrap the words in double asterisks in the Email Content box. For example, **this text** appears in bold in your email.
